During a difficult DUI stop, Kaitie finally got the driver to agree to a field sobriety test, which was when he opened fire and killed her.
Kaitie left behind a wife and three-month old baby boy.

🚨 It's a dangerous time for law enforcement. Over the past few years, we’ve seen some in the media, politicians, activist groups, and others do their best to crumble us.
Despite over 50% of officers frequently considering leaving the profession, 85% of America’s officers are proud to protect and serve their communities every day. We will never give up on the communities we love and swore an oath to protect. #WeStand #FOPstrong #BackTheBlue
